I’m looking for a 7290 (Big) U-joint driveshaft for my 71 Duster. It’s going to have a 727 & 8 3/4, from what I’ve seen it should be 44 3/4”-45” long but I don’t have all the parts installed to verify the exact measurement. I was hoping someone might have one they are no longer running that they’d sell me and save a little time and money over having a new one made.
 
Have you priced a new one? Purchase and shipping of a used one might not be that far off a new one. Plus a new one you will know the history.
 
* 45" center-to-center of u-joints
* 3 1/2" mild steel tube
* Front u-joint - Spicer P161 7260
* Rear u-joint - Spicer P461 1350
* 6" 727 slip yoke
* VG condition
* 175.00 + shipping from Florida 32117

You make a very valid point. A new one, from past experience, is about $3-400 to have built in my area. I’m hoping I can stay around $150-175 shipped on a used one. That would put me ahead of the curve in my opinion. But I’m by no means opposed it having a new on built, just budget conscious.
