things go in trends.....
- 80's was paint and modify some... stripes, wheels.... hot rod... ya know...
- by the late 90's the original look was in........ because so many had been "hot rodded"
- The last 12 years, patina is hot !!!! I just went to a huge Torque Fest, and I tell you there were 20-40k dollar cars that had been professionally repainted to look like "patina"..... What you think is "rust" is professional brown, black, and primer paint. I personally been into "patina" for a long time... (not lowered rat rods mind you, but true patina)

I have to admit I like the patina look 100 times better that that 80s garbage!! Omg that is horrible and hideous!! So many classic muscle cars were ruined like that. I know I'm gonna get alot of flack by the older people in the group that was doing that in the 80s! But remember I was born in the 80s by the time I got old enough to start noticing muscle cars the whole restoration phase had started! And it was all about factory original, OEM nos , rare survivor barn find cars and making them look original again ie saving them from the garbage look of the 80s haha
