I have the factory steering wheel in my 72 duster.I would like to get something a little more substantial. What are some good options for a body cars with a fixed column?

I just put the Grant Tuff Wheel copy of the original. Fit like a glove, but the turn signal was too close to the wheel. All I did was hold the end of the turn signal firmly with a extra large needle nose type plyers and bent it out a little. You cant even tell, and it looks great

I went with the grant GT in the color scheme of the car. Love it so far

So first you need adapter hub with correct spline fitment to your steering column. Most common and available is Grant and it will have a bolt pattern for Grant steering wheels. Then you can choose most any brand , any bolt pattern, wheel you want. You'll go to Amazon and search the adapter from Grant to that. Mine is Grant to MOMO. I think its 1 inch thick. That thickness figures into the depth of the wheel you choose, how far the wheel will be from you. My wheel is quite flat, and small diameter so I too altered the signal wand.
