Mini Starter?

On the oreilly website, i looked up starters for a 1992 dakota, and then a 1997 dakota and there were different part numbers for the different years, but yall say both will work? They both looked the same so not sure why the different part numbers..?

Vast majority of folks indicate they bought a mini starter for a ‘92 to ‘96 Dakota. Go with that. Not sure why you’re looking at a ‘97 starter and wondering why the part numbers are different? At a certain point you’re gonna need to pull the trigger.
