DO NOT SEND PAYPAL AS GIFT OR FRIENDS OR FAMILY UNLESS....

-
Here's another perspective............it's like paying taxes, all us working folks have to pay taxes, and those's taxes go to pay for services, Police, Fire Garbage pick up, National Defense......then there are those tax payers who want to pay the least amount of taxes they can.......YET they still want the benefit of all the services taxes go to pay for it..........

Using Pay-Pal and skirting the 3% fee by using Friends and family is analogous to not paying taxes..........you're not friends, you hardly know each other, wouldn't recognize each other on the street, and you're not family to one another you'r not related...........what are you going to do if they raise their fee's to compensate for revenue lost due to number of F & F transactions they do not get to collect........we the willing get to pick up your slack........Thanks!!

Someday we will all stand before our maker. I know by the time I get to tell my story the good Lord above us is going to hear a few REAL GOOD stories justifying our side of the story. Hold my beer and please pull up a chair.

This is how pay pal works for me. Every time I sell to a member in the USA I have to pay a currency exchange fee. Then when I buy something from a USA member I get charged the currency exchange fee again for them to change it back to usd It used to be that when I got paid in usd I had usd in my account along with Canadian currency and when I bought from the USA with usd currency there was no currency exchange fee. Now the fee is both ways. On top of that i am charged a transaction fee. As an example. On $400.00 usd I am charged $20.00 currency exchange fee and a $3.99 transaction fee. But that’s the cost of doing business. Like it or not. Kim

I pay the fee myself and always send my payment goods and services. In the mentioned case above, the buyer would’ve paid $2.40, but it cost him
$80 instead!

Ok thanks since you refuse I will go look it up myself. But you have never seen me cry. I'm not sure why you are taking thing so personal?? Do you own PayPal?

last time I checked Ebay owns paypal which is why Ebay requires you to have an account to sell on their site...sorry...BS

Everybody making a purchase remember to add 3% PayPal fees ...no excuses we all have to do it!! Full coverage insurance #nobrainer!!
Actually 3.7%.

I have paid as high as 3.7 depending how much you receive. Tried to figure it out several times it was never under 3.3 and as high as 3.7

I hope Bernie wins it'll be "FREE"

I sent a grille to someone they paid with Paypal merchandise. After they recieved the grill they said item not as described. They got their money back as soon as they provided tracking. Then they sent a bunch of broken plastic from a grille from who knows what. I was screwed. No grille No money.

On the other end I bought a super charger for $2500. 1 month goes buy and I didn't recieved it. He would not answer his phone I started calling every one in the area until I got his Dad. He said he was sending it out today for his son. He confirmed the address and it wasn't mine. I gave him a change of address after thinking quickly.

That evening The seller called me and started ordering me to send it back. He said he was going to refund me he sold it for a higher price. He requested a return claiming to paypal the wrong part was shipped it wasn't what I paid for. Afterwards I posted what happened on the site and found others were ripped off by the same guy for the same supercharger.

When it came it was the supercharger his dad sent me. I sent him a box of metal junk back he claimed he sent me by mistake and I provided paypal with a tracking number. He threatened me until I told him what he did was mail fraud and gave him our local police number and I never heard from him again.

I guess what I am saying is you have to be careful on both ends. Know who you are dealing with and Check them out before sending money or merchandise. I have a policy I follow on this site. Good pictures and insure all items with tracking. Always return money if members are not happy. I never had to but you never know. So far My feed back everywhere I buy or sell is 100%. That is important to members who care about their reputation on this site. Steve

another trick:

Funding method: For extra protection, it’s a good idea to complete PayPal purchases with a credit card (use your card as the funding mechanism—not an "instant transfer" from your bank account, debit card, or PayPal balance). Why? If PayPal decides not to refund your money, you can try disputing the transaction again with your credit card issuer. What’s more, a credit card is not linked directly to your bank account like a debit card, so you won’t have an empty account while you clean up the mess.

^THIS^ is exactly right.
You can be scammed on both ends..as a seller or buyer.
if you want PP protection from bad sellers not sending stuff, then dont cry about paying the PP fee. Its pretty simple.
Sellers are covered if they ship to registered name & address, etc.
I NEVER ship to a third party on buyer request which of course provided after payment. thats a red flag & risky.
I agree right hear. I will always pay the paypal fee just for the insurance. Mark
