I know its not a a body, but other forums have neen useless, and you guys are awesome.

2010 jeep grand cherokee. 5.7
Started throwing cam sensor codes.
I cleared it once, and cam And crank then popped.

I did read to just replace both sensors, as one will offset the other.

Replaced both.

NOW...it cranks for 15 full seconds. Finally fires and kicks crank signal code, and traction control light comes on.

So...i "fixed" it...and made it worst...

I originally contemplated doing timing chain...but hell...now im pretty sure its in limp mode.

Short of putting the old sensors back in, or spraying off the contacts in the weatherpacks to pray its something as dumb as a pin not commecting...
Any ideas? Bout to have it towed... thanks in advance

If i recall after replacing the sensors, they need to be “synced”.
I dont recall what vehicle i was working on, but there was a procedure in my solus. It may be necessary.

Did you use OEM "Mopar" brand sensors?

I went through this on an 03 PT Cruiser.

Same exact problem.

My friend's garage put in aftermarket sensors and the never worked longer than a couple days or at all.

Put in Mopar brand and problems went away.

I read up on that also, and asked a friend of a friend that is an allegid mopar tech. He stated plug n play. No Syncing....all the youtube mechanics out there simply change the sensor and roll on... i hoped thats all there was to it
