And there you have it. I am sure there are many more than two people who have trouble with the feedback system. There needs to be another source easy enough for E V E R Y O N E.

You literally just have to copy and paste the URL from the sale thread. Open the sale thread, copy the full address, and paste it into the feedback page where it asks for the URL. That's it. The feedback page even has a "find thread" feature, just type in part of the title of the thread and it will list the relevant threads to choose from !

Actually Joey made it easier.
If you just go to the for sale thread.
You click under seller or buyer name where it says add feedback.
A window will open, chose buyer or seller.
It automatically has the url there for you.
Click on positive or negative feedback.
Leave feedback.
For those of you had problems in the past try it on a old purchase or sale.
It is easy.
I going on memory how it works, hope it helps...

Of course, that doesn't stop the same person from coming back with a different login/member name.

I don't do business with and certainly don't use "friends and family" with any member who:

Has less than a couple hundred posts.

Posts ONLY to sell items.

Responds to WTB posts and uses generic terms/or can't string a few sentences together about the parts and or situation.

I'm on another forum and some people have gotten burned pretty badly with f&f. If unsure always use a regular paypal payment. 3% extra is worth the added insurance of having buyer protection.

As for feedback system... i wish everyone knew how to use it because I've sold a few things and they were happy and thanked me for the parts via message but they couldn't figure out how to leave feedback even after I tried to explain it unfortunately.

I dont get it. Its basically one click.

Click ADD FEEDBACK on the person's profile, and fill out the form

I agree, it's pretty self explanatory. I always leave feedback. I almost NEVER get feedback left for me.

Do you ask for it?
no, I don't ask for feedback. Really not a big deal for me. I was just saying that I always leave it, it's easy. Most don't bother with leaving it, though.

Its probably a good idea, not just to get the feedback but to get more people to use the feedback system

Regardless of whether you use the Feedback feature, I suggest doing a search on the site for the member's user name(s) -- with emphasis on the plural -- before entering into any transaction to buy or sell. A few minutes of research can go a LONG way to helping you decide who to deal with ... or NOT to deal with if you catch my drift.

Yeah it's super simply but somehow people struggle still lol. I even took screen shots one time showing step by step and sent them to try and get a guy to leave feedback.

For me leaving feedback on fabo is easy and a great feature.
I just need to do a better more consistent job of posting feedback for my buyers and i will.

The F&F feature should never be used when purchasing items, that’s my opinion. If the 3% is going to kill you on the deal, then you have no basis for complaining when something happens. It’s been well documented, and in the most recent case was only $2.40, whereas it cost the buyer $80 to be scammed. For $83, I think I’ll use the G&S feature!

This is an excellent thread. I’m on the C and B only sites a lot lately (1st post here). I had been keeping up with the ksdbru78(78) issue. I thought I had a deal with him, on B-bodies, but his pm said to “STOP the payment”. Someone else had sent him funds for ‘68 Coronet qt. panels extensions. I had pm-ed first. I was pissed because someone had took them out from under me and I let him know in a pm that I was mad at the other person. He sent back a firestorm response. I wanted badly to leave feedback but I got to the url and the old brain locked hard! I guess I got off easy from his shenanigans. But for this thread I say thank you. I’ll have to book mark it (what ever that is). Lol

Just to chime in on the Feedback feature. A lot of members have trouble with it. If everybody used it my rating would be over a 100. And I ask everybody to leave me feedback after the Sale. Most everyone I have to explain how to leave it. Some get it some don't.

Ok, let me give you an example. Say someone has some "stuff" for sale. That "stuff" is "in the same ballpark" as what you're lookin for, but the exact item you're lookin for ain't there, so you PM the seller with "hay, I saw you have blah blah for sale, might you have (fill in the blank) too? The seller says "yes, I have that too". Since (fill in the blank) was not listed in the for sale ad, your little "stupid easy" button won't work for that. Then the buyer and seller have to enter feedback manually. Even though you, me and most everybody else thinks it's easy, to some people it's not. There's always going to be something that's "outside the box" of convention.

That’s what I dont get . It’s stupid easy............. Hay I resemble that remark!
When I was 7 or 8 years old I was finally aloud to visit a friend who lived a block away. Down a 1/2 block, right turn, cross street and 1/2 block to the front door. I made it. Going home though it was dark. Front door opened I walked out, door closed. I got to the sidewalk and took a right..
after about 8 blocks I walked into a liquor store. I knew the phone # and the call was made. A stranger said “I’ll take the lad home”. He did, I made it and the meal served that night, Tuna Noodle casserole. I couldn’t eat it for years. How can I remember that, it was burned into my memory. This is what Joey is dealing with. Sorry Joey.

One thing not mentioned about a 'bad seller's list' .... it can be misused/abused to hurt or take revenge on someone... it's easy to make an inaccurate or false accusation with that mechanism. The case described above is a good illustration with some B body parts... no way to know on the buyer's end who got there first to the seller or all the things that were said. Such type of info (hearsay) is not allowed in a court of law as any sort of evidence. Leaving that type of thing online could possibly expose the site operator to some legal problems.

A feedback system on completed sales is IMHO the best you can do as the + or - of more than one transaction gets exposed, and potential buyers can see both good and bad. It does not rate the experience of an incomplete sale, but bad experiences in that phase can be so subjective, how can you ever objectively 'rate' that type of thing?

It does not rate the experience of an incomplete sale

its not really meant to. Its meant to basically tell you a few things.
1. Did the buyer pay and did he pay promptly?
2. Did the seller send the part and do so promptly?
3. Was the part as advertised?

There is no transaction if someone decides to not complete the sale.

I'm gonna try this feedback again I gotta remember the last thing I bought on here.
