Almost the weekend ....
Who's going to central show Saturday ?
Aspen or Demon...hmmm

I'm leaning towards it more and more as it gets closer.
My friend Mike with the silver 71 Dart sounded like he was getting his car back together in time for it.

The Central Ave Car Show is a great deal. $15 entry includes a t-shirt.... :D

Hope to see you there!!

It's an awesome morning...
Who's ready to hit central?
No idea how it's organized for parking...

Mike and I will be out of here about 8:30 and be there about 10.
He got his car back together so it will be him with his 71 Swinger and me with my 73.
REALLY looking forward to the drive this morning.

Lots of parking still available at 10:30...never really packed in all day.
A very interesting and diverse group of autos and enthusiasts.
Nice event...well worth going...good music...plus got a sweet t shirt for the event with entry...
Great to catch up with friends, new and old.

Show entry includes event T shirt and ticket for game...
Might have to shine up the ol` wagon..be on that there teevee thing:lol:

Tomorrow is the 3rd annual "Cruise to Jerome" and then over to old town cottonwood for the "Rat Rod" and classic car show.
Show starts at 1pm and ends at 5pm.
Live music and street vendors on main which will be blocked off for the show parking.
We went to one of these late last year and it was pretty cool.

Some of us will be leaving Prescott Valley at approx. 10am and driving up through 89A over the hills to Old Town Cottonwood.
The first video below is the route we take, and it is a blast to drive.
That road starts about 2 miles from my house, and is one of my "Go to's" for a little spirited driving.

The second video is Jerome AZ at 5k feet and built right into the side of the mountain where the road continues on down into the Verde Valley where the cruise ends for us at the car show.

Anyone going to 67th and Bell road tonite, I am thinking about going. Both I and the Duster, have been out of commission for about 2-3 months. I just now finished the car, for the 7th or 8th time.

It was different, that's for sure.
Old Town Cottonwood is pretty cool if you like a lot of shops and places to choose from for lunch.
It was different because the cars were lined up along Main street, and as soon as we pulled into town they directed us to park right under this tree in the shade with places to sit along the wall.
One of the Rat Rod groups were there the same day, and they all parked in the parking lot on the other side of that wall from mine and Mikes cars.

There was also a restaurant right next to us, and most of the places don't mind if you use their restrooms.

I'll try to give a much earlier heads up next time, sorry.
For some reason I didn't find out about this show until the day before.
