67/68/69 cuda dilemma

I painted my Dart with bc/cc and my Belvedere. I'm not impressed with the durability. I sure didn't like all the sanding steps involved with bc/cc finishes. I painted my CJ-7 with single stage and it was really durable. Just a little color sanding and buffed. Maybe It's just the black color on the Belvedere but it seems to scratch just looking at it.
Yeah, can understand on BC/CC paint jobs. I'm not a painter so I'll have to talk to who I choose. I want to use a single stage original color, but every now and then see a pearlcoat that has such a unique shine that I think looks good. I believe that is a 3 stage paint job, sounds expensive and has to be done "right". I'm actually trying to come up with a paint color that looks like a real barracuda (fish) but has some iridescent shine when light hits it to look like fish scales when light hits them. Weird I know, but as I told Matt, even here in VA we have a special plate called "Save the (Chesapeake) Bay. It is colorful and around it there is sea grass and a crab in the lower corner and I think a sea shell. So, trying to keep the "fish" and water thing going.
