Mecum Auction today

Wow!

The black '68 Dart with Hemi and 4-speed that went across the blocks about 12:15 either sold for $28K or didn't make reserve. Sound wasn't on so I dont know the outcome. Either way, I couldn't believe it.

I saw it sold for 400k but still.......A record for sure...

I'll bet the Seller was dancing a jig. I took a car to Auction once and had a $6000 Reserve and was ready to lift it at 5. Imagine my joy when it went just north of 10 K.

Great to see A bodies pass out B and E bodies value. I love it.

It may take a while, but I think our cars will get more and more valuable as time goes on. pretty soon, B and E bodies will be out of reach for many people, and as they move towards A Bodies, the prices will go up.

I guess it didn't sell. I couldn't believe it didn't go higher.

Mod top, mod interior...someone fell in love.

Mechanical issues don’t matter when you spend $400k for the car you love. The mechanical bits can be fixed, but a car with those options can’t be recreated as the real thing.

When you have $400k to spend on a car, the perspective is very different than the normal car buyer has.

?!!!? where did that come from? I would have assumed the estimate was spot on. You know what they say, right two buyers in the room is all you need.
was there and watched it unfold was crazy. Also the cutaway engines sold for over 200k.
