Im trying to swap an 8 3/4 rear for the 7 1/4 and need shock mount plates on my 70 dart resurrection effort. I don't feel like paying $150 for $10 worth of steel, does anyone here have specs or dimensioned drawings of what these are so a guy can fabricate a pair? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
 
they show up for about 40-50 on here occasionally
which is a decent price i think

but really it is a 4 by 5 plate with a bolt welded on and 4 holes drilled in it

I am also looking to swap a 8 3/4 in my 63 dart gt A body and was wondering what size the rearend needs to be, does anybody know what the width is drum face to drum face on the stock 7 1/4 that comes in these, i seen somewhere its 58 1/2 and another says 55.7 backing plate to backing plate, any help much appreciated !

Talk to Dr. Diff. He supplied the parts I needed and he is a gold mine of information on mopar rear ends.
