Yep.

Other 'no VIN stamped' blocks for '69 up were sold via the parts counter.

Warranty blocks were not.

Even better is to have the warranty replacement paperwork with the car & engine.

I've got a '76 360 without a tag or any numbers stamped on pan rail. Is this a replacement block?

I have the tag off of the 78. 400 with a steel crank. Still covered in cozmolene wrapped in plastic in a mopar box. When I bought it a couple years ago..

Thats cool. Would that indicate the oe engine was unreparable or the owner purchased a replacement engine for some reason at some time in the cars life

I'm building a warranty 340 shortblock right now. No tags or vin

Yes, the blocks were replaced under warranty when the car was new, instead of repairing, that would cost too much.
