Installed a Sanden a/c compressor, have a 1970 318 v8, with power steering ,and lower pulley has 3 grooves, have belts installed but only make contact with the fan pulley for a small contact area so the fan is slipping and engine over heating does any one have a photo of how they have there v-belts running for this type set up ?? are you using a double pulley on the alt. ??

I would adjust it so the fan, alt, & crank on inside pulley, A/C, P/S, & crank on outside pulley.

Looks like P/S is out too far for the groove it's on

You are going to have to change some pulleys it looks like to get every thing in the correct place

It took me hours and many configurations to get mine where it is. Have not run it yet but everything is lined up good and enough contact ares. Generally you need about half the pulley covered by belt. Any less and you will get slippage.
Single groove PS, water and alt.
Factory 4 groove AC crank pulley.
I had all March pulleys before I decided to go with AC. Had to ditch some of them because they dont make the ones I need.

ok I took another look at my belts does any one have a 2 groove fan blade pulley for sale?

that is the measurements of the one I have , I guess I need the 6-1/4 by 3 inches deep if a 2 groove ??

Dodge V8 trucks in the 80s & 90s before serpentine belts are a good source of parts. I have pulleys, 7 blade clutch fan and shroud off of one in mine. Paid $30 for all of it at pick & pull.

Hi Mopar Mike, I think that would work how much would you like ? how for shipping to Northampton pa 18067, do you take pay pal ?? Dave M.

IIRC from the Classic site they use a double alt pulley with the belt on the outside groove to the AC pulley then to crank. PS hits water pump and crank
