Turbo Teen

I'd probably do a turbo 318 for the gas mileage, I want a nice bigger cruiser Mopar with some power but driving a big block regularly would kill me on fuel costs. Kind of ironic though the BBM has more head bolts and can handle more boost.

A boosted 361 BB would be interesting I wonder what kind of gas mileage those get...

Fuel cost is real - especially premium and up. The e85 works out nice. Downside is the smell. Apparently there are additives to make it smell different, can you believe that!? Probably some fruity ****. I’d buy popcorn scent if they sell it - that would be fun. Can’t beat the smell of race fuel, though. I break even with cost compared to regular gasoline.

Fuel mileage with a boosted engine is better when off-boost compared to a big cam. My cam is a mild 218/218 on a 115 lsa. It’s nice that you can simply demand more power with a turbo and it provides. The best thing about it (and I rarely hear talk of it) is the turbos love for numerically lower gearing - highway gears. It needs something heavy to move and load up on. I have 3.55s but if I came across 3.23s or lower, I’d take it. And cruising is much more pleasurable this way. One of the main factors in my turbo decision was it can cruise with high gears. And high altitude is such a power vampire that I couldn’t imagine building a 408 that acts like a 318.
