What's the slowest car you've raced in the 1/4 ?

Bone stock and if my old man could cut a light to save his life he would have went rounds. It was deadly consistent, but he’s old and feeble:) it was the lowest fuel mileage I ever saw in the display 7 mpg!!!

Looking through old ET slips … List of my pickups that I raced at the strip :D :D
  1. 1970 Dodge 2wd 340 auto - 15.05 / 92.72 mph
  2. 1982 Ford F150 2wd 302 auto - 17.31 / 77.35 mph
  3. 1992 Dakota club cab 2wd 3.9 V6 - 17.22 / 79.51 mph
  4. 1989 Dodge D150 360 tbi stock w/single exhaust - 15.35 / 86.53 mph
  5. 1989 Dodge D150 stock 400, 4bbl, headers - 14.52 / 92.40 mph(front brake froze)
  6. 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 - 16.75 / 80.19 mph

I had an old beater 1975 Fury wagon, 150,000 mile 318....egr removed, cat removed, dist recurved, jvc cassette stereo with alpine speakers.

17.80’s, don’t remember the speed.

Other barn burners......
I used to have a 1986 Monte Carlo ss, it was my tow vehicle.
Tried it for a few runs just to see what it would do.
Those had the electronic emissions qjets, which basically sucked.
16.80’s at around 80.

Bought a new Dakota Sport in 93. 3.9, 5 speed, 3.21’s, fiberglass cap.
Brought it to the track with about 900 miles on it...... 16.20’s/mid-80’s.

Back when I was in the Air Force stationed out in Sacramento, I had a 72 Luxury Lemans 4dr, 350-2bbl Pontiac Power........I don’t recall the times well at all....... but mid/hi-17’s comes to mind.

My 2000 Mustang GT. Drove to the track by myself to watch because the Dart was out of commission. I couldn’t handle just spectating. It ran a 14.6.

I find myself doing the same thing.... just a 10 dollar bill more and I get to run what I brung…. :D

At New England Dragway the cutoff is 19.99 sec . in competition . No cutoff in time trials . We won a bracket bash with a '66 Coronet , /6 , auto , street tires . 19.98 seconds @ 64 mph going into 3rd gear @ 1000 ft. Went 5 rounds with an average r.t. of .016 seconds . Lots of opponents red lighted . lmao !

All stock 3.6 V6 challenger 9.40 in the 1/8.

that's a good run for that. Guy here in town had a new 2017 3.6 with the 8 speed and he ran a 14.60 in the 1/4. That would be about a 9.40 in the 1/8.
A friend of mine ran his 2012 Hemi and only ran 9.10's at the same track, he was amazed that I was running close to his times, he wasn't pushing his very hard. I do have a K&N air filter but I doubt that it would make much of a difference.

Dont have actual times because we raced a lot on our own little spot outside of town, but these 2 were the slowest things I have ever seen...the first was 2 1985 Chrysler 5th Avenues...man I could of walked faster than those..lol The other was 2 Ford Festivas...Man we would race whatever we could get our hands on...lol The sad part is I think the Festivas were faster than the 5th Avenues...lol.

9.98 in the 1/8 mile in Guatemala City, took the trophy from the JDM crew leader. He had stupid money in his 4 banger. Was in a stock 2004 mustang gt auto. Left on him, drug him, crossed line first and broke out less.

70 Charger R/T w/440/727/3.55 All Mopar show at Union Grove, WI in 1984 15.03@95ish. (funny how you remember specifics of stuff....) Won a trophy for 15 second bracket. Was just running it repeatedly, last time I ran the girl in the time slip shack handed me the trophy, had no idea what the f I was doing. I honestly asked her what was the trophy was for...Was pretty funny at the time.

as the saying goes, it is more fun to drive a slow car fast, then a fast car slow

I always found it a blast to race to slow cars. You see somebody fall behind a little but as the seconds tick away you can see them slowly creeping back around them and oh-so-close to the finish!!! You race to fast cars and somebody breaks a tire loose and it's over.

It wasn't my slowest, but most disappointing. 89 Shelby Dakota. Seemed quick till I took it to a Friday night test and tune at Richmond VA. 16.5's back to back. The track was full of chevy ss tahoes. They were running 12.5's. I put my stuff back in the bed and went home.
