forgotten how good this smells

When racing motocross when i was younger (late 70s early 80s) the big thing was Bel Ray 50:1.
It had that sweet smell, but we ran Amsoil 2 stroke oil @100:1 which had almost no smell or smoke.
I am a big believer of the Amsoil 2 stroke oil, because when you tore the engine down in the winter to refresh it, there was virtually no wear on the cylinder or rings and the engine would have good compression still.
The carbs had to be jetted down a few sizes though to run it..............
I did like the sweet smell of Bel Ray or bean oil though, it sure brings back memories!

Used it in the 70's in my Polaris and Artic Cat sleds...my 40-1 buddies swore I'd burn mine down.
