I have a clean used pulley, not NOS but very nice. Also have NOS mounting bracket for the Small Block National pump. If interested can send pics.

It's possible that I have one, but I did find out last time somebody was looking that there are two different shaft diameters for pulleys that look nearly identical. I'd have to dig through the bins of pumps to be certain.

What year motor are you working on? I do have the pump for my GTS somewhere in the pile of GTS parts to compare to.

Jim-Thanks for the reply.I did measure the shaft size on my original pulley, and even thou the parts books shows 3/8" thread shaft,it actually measures closer to 5/8" inside diaeter.Of course the part number is stamped on the end of flange or on the face of the pulley. Please check when you have time and see if you might have one. Thanks again Jim

The picture you have of the pulley I believe is the wrong pulley for your 340 car that I have seen.

All late 71-72 340 cars and some 318 AC cars that came through here had the same size and style but they were spoke'd. To cut reciprocating weight maybe trying to regain some torque from compession loss?. Who knows I'm guessing. Replacements were solid so many were lost to reman companies. most 318's but not all had the solid style that you pictured above. I have seen this spoke'd pulley on both style pumps.

I know you want to make your GSS correct I would do some research. My GSS had the spoke'd pulley and a small cooler attached which I still have. I kept it off the wrecked car years ago

I never looked at this thread because I knew I didn't have a 72 340 pulley " that I was picturing ". But I have the style you are looking for which I do not believe is correct now that I see your picture.

He is working on a 72 so a GTS pulley no matter the pump style GTS won''t work. A GTS would have had a cast iron water pump if it was original.

Upon further info from other members,I do now think it should be a spoke pulley. The 2 shown above are a keyed pulley or for a Saginaw pump.I will need the similar style spoke pulley but with the threaded/press on style pulley.
