I know I read on this before but I can't find the thread . I am doing the disk swap on my 64. I am going to use the spindles and disks off an 87 new Yorker M body. I want to get lower control arms with sway tabs so I can install a sway bar in the future. I cant remember if the 67 and up early or the later LCA s would work better. I seem to remember the caliper will hit the tab on one of the set ups. There is the possibility I could break the bank and go tubular but I have more homework to do on that. Can anybody refresh my memory. Thanks , Chris

65-72 LCAs with the swaybar tab is what you want. When you do the disc swap, you'll need to put the left spindles on the right side and right on the left so the calipers will clear the swaybar. You might want to consider an aftermarket swaybar that fits the early A as OEM can be hard to find. - In my 65 Dart I'll be using the 73-76 A Body disc swap with the spindles reversed for swaybar clearance and the Helwig hollow swaybar.

I just have to make sure it will still work with the b/e/m spindles.

The FMJ spindles are just a bit taller than the A body stuff, work just fine and still need to be swapped if using the 65-72 LCA’s with sway bar tab and your choice of sway bars.

I used the Hellwig tubular sway bar kit on my 64. It's great and doesn't require tabs on the LCA. it has bolt on stuff. No welding. But yeah, the 65-72 LCAs are the way to go if you want something factory looking.

Do you have disk brakes on your 64? If so did you have to reverse your spindles as well?

I do, but I used the Wilwood kit. Didn't have to do anything with the spindles. Had to switch to 15" wheels, but I was gonna do that anyway.
