Turbo Teen

What about pressure ratio intake to exhaust side, aren't headers better for that? I read in a David Vizard book that most home-fabbed turbo setups can't do better than 2:1 exhaust:intake which is why a low-overlap cam is usually used; the higher pressure on the exhaust side pushes the mixture back into the intake if there's too much overlap. On max-effort race setups the ratio is 1:1 so any cam can be used.
