BORGESON steering box

Ive had my box for about 4 years, maybe 5, I cant remember, But I had the awful hissing noise too, hissed like a ***** when not turning or under load, end

Ok Ive had my Borgeson Box for roughly 4-5 years, I ended up replacing the factory pump with a new Lars pump, only hang ups were getting a new pulley (Old one was pressed on, new one was a key/bolt on) as well as a new return set up because the outlet on the pump is way different then the OEM. The Hissing noise I posted about years ago was gone instantly. I also rec using Teflon tape on the threads of the lines going into the box, the lines from Borgeson never would seal right. Also now I have a leak coming from the area in the rear of the box where the 4 bolts bolt the control head on. (Noise gone, now we have a leak) Its funny because the old pump steered way easier but had the stupid noise, the new pump has no noise, steers harder, but is now leaking at the base of the box. Its a super nice feel to the box, my car is lowered and is set up for road/course/autocross, but this leak/ noise nonsense has me thinking I may never buy another box from these guys again. Yes I also have the Joint, and no don't let those fools ever con you into believing the noise is transferring through the joint. That's complete crap. The leak is very slight and I checked the control head bolts, all tight. I may reference my Grand Cherokee manual and see whats behind there. Love the box but the quality is sub par at best. They should stick to making steering shafts.
Send me a photo of which box you have. The O ring may be damaged under the cover. Very easy to repair.
