I drove from Wisconsin to Marrietta, GA when an eBay seller failed to ship a plasma cutter I bought from him.
 
Jeez...seems like a rash of this BS lately!
zero to very near zero post numbers, but on age old accounts...if I was the suspicious type, Id almost think they had pre-planned thier scams long ago with multiple IDs.
As long as "we" as a collective, tolerate this, it will continue.
It IS a matter of principle and mutual trust among the membership, without that, this entire board is compromised.

Go to mechanical parts for sale and search small block cal custom valve covers. The first add that pops up is mine. It is now defunct, but, take a look. I think they would be more "correct" for what you are doing. If you are interested, pay the shipping and they are yours. I would be honored to have some of my old junk on SEG car! Those guys are bad ***!!

Thanks 408 Swinger ### I actually have a set of Direct Connections that look just like yours Im sure Cal Custom probably made them for Chrysler they have a 3 digit # on the inside and thats all.

I had to look up the phone number for the guy's work when some prick ripped me off on a ring for the ex wife.

Called him at work with the flight number and travel info to get to his shop in NYC from Missouri, and described the store front from Google street view.

Mentioned that I can buy a baseball bat with no back ground check in New York, and money refunded in like thirty minutes!
 
Damn not another one! This is becoming frequent on here Maybe something happened and he had an emergency or something like that. He has three positive feedbacks surely he wouldn't start scamming ppl now??
I tend to give ppl the benefit of doubt before they prove me wrong like in the last thread like this one!
 
I don't know guys I have a bad feeling about this one. I don't think this guy is trying to rip anyone off he has been on here since 2012 and doesn't do anything but sell. Why would be tarnish his reputation as a seller over 70 bucks??
I hope he is ok and something didnt happen to him!?!

Sadly, this is exactly how they work. They do it on ebay as well..set up accounts and gain a few positive feedbacks & seller ratings (many of which are simply from their other fake accounts) then..whammm...rip off dozens of buyers all within a few days.
Account gets flagged and shut down, but they simply move on to thier next ID.
OP, if you have his mailing address, send him a registered letter, asking for a full refund or the part shipped (pay or surrender), provde a reasonable deadline (normally 10-14 days from receipt of letter) IF something has happened, like a medical issue, then someone at his address is most likely receiving/handling his mail/bills, and they would certainly contact you back.
Failing that, you will have to go scorched earth on him ( I outlined steps in another thread about a rimblow steering wheel rip off)...if you sent a U.S. postal money order, that could well be considered postal fraud, interstate commerce fraud, theft, etc.

But sell a few items, get positive feedback, only to drop the bomb on some valve covers?
Why not a Siamese bore R3 block, 426 hemi short block, or a 440 dart?
Not exactly your criminal mastermind with valve covers @Fgill . Just an asset-hole!

There are some really good members on here. This kinda offsets the Assholes. Kudos for you guys offering up your valve covers. I've dealt several times with Chris, 1Badcolt. He is a super guy.

I never said this seller (from this post) was scamming anyone, I was generalizing on the previous comment that simply because a seller have a few good feedbacks, doesnt mean a buyer is in the clear from being scammed..who would buy from some unknown seller that had all negatives? prob not. It only works because they have a small amount of established sales, true scammers set the entire thing up with multiple fake IDs, stolen pics, drop mail boxes, bank accounts under stolen IDs..etc.
besides, just because they are scamming on a set of valve covers here on FABO, doesnt mean they are not fultime big $$ scamming a rare still in crate NOS $40k 426 block on FEBO, or craigslist, ebay, check fraud, stolen car parts..or a hundred other forums/formats/ways of doing so that are out there, mopar or otherwise.
You think they (real scammers) simply stop at FABO $75 money orders..lol..no, its $20 here, $50 there from many sources..big ticket scams bring attention & consequences, but small ones, people just move on and chalk it up..seen that attitude here many times, thus why it continues.
