So do we have a FABO group going this year ? Who has the banner ? Somebody else will have to snag the longest driver award this year since I'm based in Quebec right now .

I've booked my flights and hotel room so no long distance award for me. Unless a Boeing 737 counts. :D

Got my package last week. Skeeter up in Barrie has the banner. He was unable to make the show last year, haven't heard about this year.

I wonder if he's even still in Barrie he was talking about retiring early to the wet coast .What package # did you get I just pre registered the other day and am wondering if they hit 1000 yet .

I pre-registered, my number is 151. Was in contact with skeeter today, he is scheduled to work that weekend. Do you head up Friday night?

If I make it with the car itxwill he friday , if I just shiw up with the daily it will be Saturday or Sunday only , it all de0ends on work , brand new job means not a lot of room to be scheduling my time off but I'm going to try to make it happen .

Doesnt look like I'll be making it this year. Raise one or 3 for me!
Won't be the same without you but I will gladly tip a couple in your name . I haven't talked to 2darts in a while , I have to pickup my paychecks in Ottawa when I get back next week so I'm going to try to get him out for lunch .

So quick question, our nearest city to shop is Winnipeg. As a result we are in Canada somewhat regular. Where is the Moparfest located? I have played a lot of hockey in Canada but am just not familiar with Moparfest? Sounds like a hoot. Do ya let yanks in?

we even pay the one that drives his hotrod the furthest from the US 150 bucks CDN which is either 80 cents Us or 300 bucks US depending on your markets eh . The Show is in New Hamburg Ontario which is a couple of hrs from either Detroit or Buffalo , they have a website Moparfest.com you should check it out , if you decide you are coming with your hotrod tell them you want club parking with the FABO group we're on the first base line of ball diamond #1.

Roger that,
I hit the website. Holy smokes looks like a major show for sure. I end up coming I will be looking up a bunch of hockey buddies from back in the day. We played in Mississauga but no one down here knows where that is so it is easier to just say Toronto. Hah! We were all fast back then just ask me! Then I ended up playing on west coast US. Literally my first practice I took a nice slapper and coach blows it down. Asks me what are you Doing? I respond, trying to put the puck in the back of the net coach. He replies, I drafted you to make sure he (points at stud winger) puts the puck in the back of the net. I reply yes Sir. Dawned on me I was a role player nothing more nothing less. At 6-2 235 pounds I was not fastest guy on the ice but had learned to box along the way! Now we all play in fat man beer leagues. And a 230 pound kid is fast as lightning and a winger. Man times change.
Go Jets

I just got a letter from Mopar Fest and there were no tickets or wrist bands in it just a brochure. Is that what others have been mailed and tickets to come later?? No body in the office when I phoned until June 3.

Got my tickets a few week ago. Received the same mailing yesterday that you got . Your name is on a list so it gets sent out. Has nothing to do with your tickets.

I got the same propaganda Larry, just a flyer. Tickets to follow I would imagine.

yeah I get that every year around this time , I usually already have my package before it shows up .

I am considering going and combine with another trip.

For those that have been there;

What is typical number of cars that attend? And what type of mopars - mostly 50,60,70? or is there late model challengers, chargers, trucks, jeeps, kcars, prowlers etc thrown in there?

I see there are vendors - are they selling mostly new/used mopar parts? Are there cars for sale from the field?

Lots of questions, but their website is a bit weak on metrics.

Mostly 60-70's. They limit the number of new challengers and chargers. Most parts in vendor zone are mostly used. No sales in the field, except cars I'm the car corral.

1500+ cars, musclecar-era heavy but there's something for everyone up to and including modern Mopars (although the late-model stuff is limited in numbers by the folks putting on the show so it doesn't end up looking like a used car lot).

The venders are a nice mix, ranging from rusty original parts to shiny new reproductions (and everything in between), plus diecasts, clothing, etc.

There is a good sized "for sale" line up for cars separate from the show cars. I was very tempted by a '66 Belvedere wagon with a 440 4-speed combo back in 2017 but it sold before I could get my act together.

The show is absolutely worth the effort to attend, despite the potential for less-than-ideal weather.

I would add is there is always something in the vendor area you won't find anywhere else ie... tail panel clips for a 69 Barracuda/ Roadrunner , the clip and fastener guy is amazing . Last year I spotted an A Body Barracuda Fastback NOS in the box rear window defroster setup complete .There is apparently talk of sectioning off the vendor area into two areas 1 for mopar stuff and 1 as a flea market . There was a border issue for the american vendors regarding taxes and tariffs that forced many like Laysons to just say screw it and turn around and go home , hopefully those issues have been sorted .
