I have some 14x7 cragars would like to run some 245 60 14 under the rear quarter panels on a 71 dart. Wondering if they would rub at all?

That should not be a problem. I have the same tire on a 14x7 rim with 4.5" backspace on the back of my 66 Valiant and it clears fine. Your car has more rear wheel room than mine.

14x7's with a 4 1/2" backspace should be fine. I have 15x7 with a 4 1/4" backspace and 255-60's and no rub. My rear end sits up a bit and the springs are fairly stiff but you should be fine with a shorter/smaller tire.

That size tire will fit, but it all depends on the backspacing

I have 245/60/14's on the stock 5.5 ralleys on the back of my 1972 dart with room for more..

Well scrunching the 245’s onto a scrawny 5.5” wide rim plays a big part in that too. The section width will be significantly reduced on that narrow of a rim. Put them on the proper width rim (7” to 8.5”) and you wouldn’t have as much room. And even then the backspace still plays an important part. The tire will fit if the backspace is right, but a lot of those old Cragars like that OP is running don’t have the best backspace numbers.

Mike, what springs are you running? I want my dart to sit about the same as yours but my springs are sagging.

I have a extra leaf added to the original springs. Something the previous owner did. I would Imagine a +1 inch over spring from Espo would do the the trick. When the car sets on the level it doesn't look like it has such a rake.

man thats a pretty car!! I have sagging springs on mine currently and have it up with air shocks but i need to fix this issue as i need it to hookup and air shocks aint gonna help that!! I just looked at the ESPO site and see they have the new springs and you can add +1..So if i ordered the stock new springs and add the +1, should that get me to where yours is? Im asking because i have mine is set just about where yours is right now, but with air shocks..Also, does your car hook with those springs?

Thanks for the compliment. I can't say for sure but I'd say one in over Springs would do the trick. I do have 255 60x15's on the rear which jacks it up a bit too.
