Console clean up

I'll have to start at the beginning... my 67 buckets have steel backs with vinyl skin glued on them. Wrong kind of glossy spray paint with runs, Pretty bad scars and small dents to hammer out too. Lacquer thinner and a lot of rubbing removed the paint mess. In some spots I had to razor away loose vinyl. I filled the voids with gel type super glue. After it had a few minutes to cure a bit I pounced it with a piece of fine scotch brite pad and allowed it to cure fully. Very light sanding knocked down peeks and edges. Vinyl thickness with grain recreated. Shot with Sems Landau Black and done.
My console wasn't scared so bad but had a rear corner broken out/missing. Built a form or fence with duct tape. built the missing corner with Devon 2 part epoxy. Pulled the tape and sanded to shape. Same pounce in super glue recreated the grain on that too.
The correct very low gloss / nearly flat dye finish doesn't amplify imperfection like glossy will. I wont claim invisible repairs at every spot but one would need to look closely to find them all.
