That color is just amazing on that year of duster. That one year only stripe with the little dust guy on the rear of the car with that blue as the background just looks fantastic.

The 72 bench seat is so cool and looks comfy.

It helps that 72 is my favorite year for Chrysler. They didn't make anything that year that I don't like.

Now that i look it again. One difference is mine won't have a vynil top and mine will have rally wheels because I only use factory wheels so that is different but I LOVE that color on this year of duster and I been lusting at the sight of this car.

Funny thing is I'm doing it the way I am because I really been diggin' Street Muscle Mag's project Bullzeye.
I love it and I ain't scared to say it. But really, it's a just a blue Dart with different wheels. Copy, borrow, rip off whatever you want to call it. If ya like it, do it.

To copy something as mentioned is to most of us is a non issue.
Coolest thing is if they ended up side by side somewhere,on the street or at a show.
Not like two ladies wearing the same dress a dance.
We all know who would look better in it:thumbsup:

Haha! Your not copying us this is as the factory built it with a few items that could have been ordered. Your just copying Chrysler! Go for it then she will have to cruise up to Colorado for a photo shoot.

After attending the Omaha show I was blown away by Zmans "rare fish" I have been scouring the world for a suitable early A body ever since. We have all looked at magazines and go to car shows for ideas and paint schemes. I have got a million compliments on powder coating my bumpers black. It makes you feel good that someone likes your build enough to incorporate your ideas into their build. Passion is passion, and when you see it, and you like it that is just the way we all are. I also saw a beautiful orange and black Duster that makes me rethink Sublime on the Demon as the orange and black just "fit" the car. Be you Rainy be you, rock the copycat car. We all do as well!

I had a vision for my car. Then I found a picture depicting close to what I wanted, in-violet, 67 notch black vinyl top. But I want the Ss hood in black not the 6pack and I have different rims and ss springs. And he prob doesnt have 440/855
Mine is getting there

I have used a few of other peoples ideas in my build.

EVERYBODY takes a little something from a car they've seen. The way the gauges are done, taillight treatment that is a little different, grille painted a better color. I always see something that catches my eye when I'm at a show or cruise and think I'd like to do that. I don't think I would copy my neighbors car exactly, but borrow a few ideas, yeah why not.

I am glad you posted your favorites here.

I am ashamed that I have not even seen a few of those before.

I need to check out moparmandans scamp because i also have a 71 scamp and I have never heard of moparmandan before.

You’re not alone if you are inspired by others.
Copying is not new in the automotive world.
Even the original VW Beetle (KdF Wagen) was inspired/copied from a Czech Tatra prototype:
The Shady Origins of the VW Beetle and why They'd Prefer not to Talk About It

On a BMW 2002 forum I said these cars looked like Corvairs. Another member agreed and added this link which has a nice summary of general car styling/design trends.

Rage on Rainy!

Do what you want as inspired by what you see!
