I agree RRR, I see no point in you swapping to 8.8 if you have to redrill the drums. I think the 7 1/4 will hold up just fine.

"I guess" I'm gonna find out. lol It's in good shape now, I see no reason why it won't last. I THOUGHT about swapping in an A230 3 speed at some point, but the transmission in it is in good shape too so it's gonna stay.
