No slant came from the factory with dished pistons. Slants were rated 8.2-8.4 CR by the factory, but I have never seen one that even hit 8.0-1 when actually measured. Not trying to beat you up, but just pointing out some things. Maybe someone is misleading you.
PS: Just a FYI, I have lost count on how many slants I have build since 1974. I have 5 on engine stands, in various stages of build, at this time.
