In this day and age that might be a pretty fair buy. Was that originally a Commando engine?

10K seems a little steep to me. Looks like it’s gonna need a lot of time and money to get it across the finish line. Guess it all depends on what you gotta put into it and what’s all there. I probably wouldn’t go more than about 6,500 for it. Good luck and let us know what happens.

273 in 69??? Wouldnt it have been a 318??

Edit....I stand corrected... 273 std, 318, 340, 383 optional (source=FSM 1968)

Yeah 273 orig engine
He has tons of parts small bolt pattern centerline with nice skinny’s for the front
It was a bench seat car but he has buckets that need reupholstered
The car was hit on the passenger side quarter they put a new quarter panel on it and left the old ones they’re kind of a butcherjob if you asked me
A couple grilled tail light New weather stripping.
All new brake hardware still drum up front but power drum.
New carpet new vinyl top needs to be installed new headliner half installed the motor runs really well I don’t know I don’t think it’s worth more than 6500 myself lotta a lot of work to be done new emblems I told him to throw the tail lights in it get the windows in and then maybe he can get his $8500 for it.

I'm always suspicious of a white paint job. It can hide an awful lot.

I thought the same thing. What was the last year for the 273?
1969 was the last year for the 273 2bbl...last year for the Charger/Commando engine was 1967, which was also the end of the solid lifters, both 2 and 4bbl. 273 got hydro lifters and cast crank same as 318 for 68-69. 1968 was the intro of the 340, which basically obsoleted the 273-4bbl engine.

I know how much I paid for my 69 originally, as well as how much I put into a pretty high end restore/rebuild. For what you appear to be getting there and the level of work remaining, $10,000 is a little steep (particularly for an A-body). If the body needs any real work, then that is definitely too high a price.

I thought all 69 GT's came with buckets
Might not be an actual "GT"...(don't see any belt trim clip holes) ...VIN would confirm...GT would be "LP23........ GTS would be "LS....". Could be a Swinger (LL... or LM...) or a Custom (LH....) to have a bench seat stock....or the original buyer could have ordered it that way.

looks like a lot of rust around the A pillars...

better 74' HERE for only a $1000 more

He had mentioned that he had covered up the belt molding holes yeah I’m passing on the 69 still thinking about the 73 What’s involved in putting the 360 engine in do I have to change the engine mounts and the crossmember!
Or just the mounts themselves.

To install 360 on a /6 k-member, you need Schumacher swap mounts. No need to change X-member.

its been a while since i did it, but that is the way my duster is set up, i think i have a truck mount on one side, a 360 mount on the other and a slant six K member holding it all (but im a bit hazy on the specifics)

Transmission is also needed. Slant trans is no go. Might have a 7.25 rear...good luch with a 360 and that diff...powersteering stuff might be different too.

He has the 360 with the 727 trans[/QUOTI I was thinking about throwing a performance cam in it basically for the sound
then throwing the 360 in it. Can anyone recommend a decent cam for a bacially stock 360?
just somthing to mess around with the car is cheap enought like $2500 with engine
