Does anyone sell just the heater box to vent seal or is it only available in the kits? It seems all I can find are kits.

It is about 1 inch square foam shaped in a ring, ends stuck together. It arrives with what amounts to two sided tape for adhesive. It can peel right off the foam when we try to remove the paper covering. Plan to apply weather strip adhesive.

I like DMT, needed just the clips for the firewall to hood seal, sold the right clips to me. AAAA++++

Yes, it does have the thin adhesive covered cellophane like the factory one, and I recommend 3M weather strip adhesive, too. I had to nearly drop the heater box out to put in the gasket, too.

Seal came yesterday, got it in installed today. And like others said, I ended up using weatherstrip adhesive. Why? Because the 2 sided tape was on the side of the foam, where it touches nothing. Nice looking part though.

Got one today. Same thing. Adhesive strip is on the outside. That make no sense - at least for the ones I've seen.
DMT has has been a real asset and James is a good guy. No idea why he is making them this way.

Its been a while since I had this in my hand but... I think the foam ring can be rolled over/inverted. So the adhesive would land on any one of its 4 sides you wish. Weather strip adhesive is the better plan anyway.
