I have a Mr Gasket V-gate shifter that I need a set of three shift rods and levers for a A-body 833 4 speed. Also need the shifter mount for a 833 part number S1-9033. The pattern on the piece of wood is the one I need. I have a mount S1-9026 which is for a Ford top loader 4 speed which I will sell or trade for the one I need. Or if I can't get the shift rods, I will consider selling the shifter.

The reverse Rod is the same. I made my own first second third fourth rods out of all thread and hem joints from the hardware store. I also had the template that you have and just made a steel adapter plate.

off the net.. the welded plate has 2 stop bolts (lower left) one on either side of the mounting plate … the rear is a bent tab……….

Yes, I've drag race with it and all that stuff. The vertigate should have stops so you don't over shift anyways and it's relatively short straight pieces of all thread...

I am sure you know getting the stops it super critical..... It make make or break a transmission or atleast that has been my take on them with Inlines anyway....

I use to run these in the 70's. I always loved these shifters. In 73 I had one in a 70 340 Duster.

I asked because I ran a couple back in the day.... Fast forward to 10 years ago I got a Long Shifter and they were not even in the same zipcode. They are nice. They do come with a price however. Just putting it out there because alot of people don't know that Hurst isn't the only game for one.....

Cheers,

Here's the same thing, only it's different...………

Another thing I just switch back to my V gate and I'm almost positive I had to switch my shifter ears. I move the first second shifter ear to the third fourth and the third fourth to the first second spot. It just made everything kind of lineup.

First a small plate to locate where the shifter will go. It looked like you have a spray painted template?
