What is your offer for a nice core? also I believe a 1970 E/B-body 2229171 was also used on A-body cars. I have two here on the shelf and most all my parts are from 71 a-body cars. I know they are 1" bores same as the Hemi 2229271.

From 67-75 they only made three 1" bore master cylinders. I have three cars here with Disc/drum 1967, 1970 and 1971 that I am parting out. I'll go check them with a mirror when it stops raining. They are all Manual Disc.

One of the 2229171's I have on the shelf is still attached to the original power booster. If you are looking for the correct piston size they will work. Numbers guy Keep on looking unless one of my cars have one.

There is one on E-bay, Its a Core for $175.00

2225541 is correct for 67 a bodies with manual brakes with front disk. That isn’t the part number but the casting number on the underside of the master cylinder.

Correct. The part number, at least for '68, is 2808600.

There is also a casting date on them.

The only numbers I can find are a 3 next to the Bendix Script,

and an illegible number on the right side, which looks to be a date code tag attached to the mold, to be cast in.

There are no numbers stamped on the left side, as shown on page 84 of the article.

The lid has the pre-1970 lettering,

And the gasket has the number 2225441, which I think was originally published in the Mopar Action article as the casting number for the MC, and then re-published all over the Googlewebs, causing lots of confusion.
