FWIW the same cables are used with the 65-earlier slant/V8 904 and the 833. I can take some pics if interested

I'd be very interested. The one I'm replacing had a kink in the outer housing that leaked and finally broke it in half.
I currently have a white gear, but I upgraded to 14" tires so my speedo reading is faster than I'm actually going, but I don't know what would be the right gear for the rim size/?
