Pertronix maintains I would need #1584 ignitor for my prestolite. I'm skeptical.

Did you give them your distributor number? 65 dual points are IBS 4013 distributors and not the IBS 4012 like they have listed for the #1584 kit. In fact I don't see any IBS 4012 distributors listed in the 2 books I have. The IBS is a Studebaker distributor. The kit may work though. You might just have to try.
