Male prostitute.
Erm, not that I've seen many male prostitutes.

Yeah, that's it.

I'd start calling her "big sister" if I were you! I drove for Dunbar Armored several years attending college part-time. We had several females, some more competent than others.

I was standing in the office next to a "soccer mom" who was handed a company revolver right then and there for the first time after being hired and receiving her California on-duty only firearms permit. The barrel immediately crossed the path of my face. Obviously she was not aware of what she was doing.

A couple of months later, I was working with the same soccer mom. On that occasion I was driving and she was playing the part of the armed courier performing the pick-up and deliveries. Wait, did I say "armed courier"? Let me explain:

When I do service delivery/pick-up, I constantly check to make sure my firearm in still in its holster where its supposed to be. (I can still remember back in the 1960's as a youngster, and watching the guards approach their armored vehicle with a bag of money in one hand, and their revolver in the other hand-today that would be a no-no)

Well, this day "airhead" soccer mom had already serviced several customers when I looked back at her as she sat down in the back of the armored truck. Her holster was empty! She had forgotten to check out a firearm from the office before we left that morning!

But that is not even the worst case of bad judgment. I immediately told her I would be taking over the pick-up/deliveries the rest of the shift and she would be driving. With no firearm, obviously she was a sitting duck for a robbery where we could suffer a loss or someone could be easily injured/killed. Her answer was, just let me make one more stop (without the firearm, that is). I said absolutely not! Here reason for making another stop was something stupid, like going to the bathroom while she was out servicing the next customer.

Another day she was driving and I was servicing the customers. I returned to the truck and immediately gave her instructions to not move the truck. I stood up and went toward the back shelving to find the package for the following customer. The truck took off! I was able to keep my balance but was now pissed off. She said she continued on her route and ignored my directions because she did not want the route to run behind schedule.

I was thinking, what if the reason I asked her not to move was a life or death situation. For example, a toddler runs off from mother into the path of one of the truck wheels. That could have been tragic.

After I wrote a letter to management expressing how vulnerable I felt working with this soccer mom, eventually she either resigned or was fired. At the time, I had five years experience working as a peace officer. It was beyond me how a company in business for almost 100 years could hire an employee like that. I wish her well, but she should find her niche elsewhere.

The lady ready mix truck driver we had drove the Pink "Breast Cancer Awareness" truck.
She could hang a concrete chute with the best of'em.

My buddy put a seasonal employee in an excavator, after 2 weeks her skills were well above the so-called seasoned expert that he got all butthurt and left.
That girl found her niche.

And it took no time for her to figure out the laser setup.
I saw some of the ditching she did. Very well done.

dibbons, I can tell you similar horror stories about female "firefighters" after 33 years, but what the use.

Any careers that do not include the potential for heavy drama, becoming head queen in charge, social outlets & potential mating partners. lol
