Rim suggestion

Hi I am a 14 year old building a 73 duster and I am looking for 17x9 and 17x7 rims, 4x4.5 bolt pattern

What are your goals for the build? Sounds like getting it on the road with the slant 6 is first up, which is great. It's easy to go overboard on these cars and have them torn apart for years. Sometimes its nice just to put them back on the road and then do small upgrades as you go, getting used to the car and getting to enjoy it at the same time. Plus it gives you a better idea of what you actually want out of it!

17's are a good choice for rim size, and good tires are a lot easier to find than for a 14 or even a 15" rim. Don't be afraid of 18's either, there are even more tire options out there for them and it gives you additional tie rod clearance up front so you can run wider tires. Now, I don't know what the end goal is but stepping up to 18's will let you run wider tires up front than you can with 17's . It's not a big deal if you're just planning a nice handling street car, 245's or 255's up front are plenty and they work just fine on a 17" rim.

This is my '74 Duster turned '71 Demon clone, with 18x9's up front and 18x10's out back...
