A bodies finally bring big money

If the prices go up, we will never be able to afford all the cars we still want to get.

I hope the market plummets. :)

That car is in pristine condition and it has to be very rare if it was in his collection.

good and bad.. high prices and people wanting them mean more parts made for them.. but it also prices the poor working guy out...

I like to see the mod tops gettin some recognition. They're cool.

The prices follow the economy. The economy is up and so is spending. Also remember who is doing the buying and selling.Items such as this are being sold by deep pockets and being bought by deep pockets. Will it effect us(Joe Public) ? Doubtful, but you may find asking prices to increase.Joe Public #1 may now ask a higher price for his car,But will Joe Public #2 pay for it ?This may just be speculation as most of us guys (meaning Me) will never be able to buy a car for $400K. I choke at $40K even at $20K.Just my thoughts.

The guy that bought the high dollar mod top apparently is a MT collector and wants too own them all.

Big Money Was Flowing at Mecum Indy

Any members have a mod top they might want to sell. This one went $400000 over the estimate at the Mecum Indy Auction

Until you see a bunch of other 68-69 340 auto Abodies sell for $400K,
I call this a freak occurance, an anomaly, an outlier...

Very specific car, condition, and previous owner.

It was a survivor.

It was a ModTop 340

It was owned by Steve Juliano

Until another has those exact things and sells for $400K, that’s not effecting 99.999999% of Abody values.

There truly is a butt for every seat! Special car for sure...

A body Joe, A guy here in Vegas has done just that. Had a factory pink 340 4 speed 'Cuda convertible. (Now with a 472 Hemi) for many years, at least 25. Sold it and bought a new HellCat.I hear he claims it's the best thing he has done. Started to make me think..
