Harumph! 75-110 hour work weeks aren't unusual. Afterwards that is computer time ... respond to quote requests, send progress emails and maybe surf a few posts. Add in housekeeping, supper, dishes, grocery and supplies shopping, bills, and it all adds up to having ....... No life. Lol

I'll be honest with you...i don't know what to call it nowadays, but I believe Eve was created from Adams rib, for a different purpose (as the poet put it "he for God only, she for God in him")
And as such, there are things that men are better equipped to handle, and there are things that women are better equipped for.
Just to take it to the extreme, look at parenting, a child needs a mom and a dad
That doesn't mean men are more valuable then women (this is where feminist get off track) it simply means they are different

Was in plumbing ind. for around 45ish yrs., never saw a female plumber. 100 degrees and cast iron commercial rough ins , aint for the faint hearted.
Course now everything is so easy and fast , I imagine one could handle it if she wanted to.
IMO, if a person has the determination, they can perform any job that is presented their way. However, determination is an asset almost lost nowadays, and even the male of the species has none. People don’t think like they used to, and that my friends, is the problem.
I have never been against a woman ( or anyone else, for that matter ) holding any job, as long as they are capable of doing it. I was a meat dept. supervisor for a company, and had a wrapper come to me wanting to be a cutter. She was very good at her job, and a good employee. I asked her if she thought she was capable of doing everything that was required. At first she said yes, then asked what I meant. I told her, that besides cutting meat, she would have to be able to stack the cooler, and grind. Some boxes are in excess of 100 lbs. Grinding consisted of putting 75 lb. lugs of meat in the grinder, which is about 5 ft. tall. Had she been capable of doing that, I would have given her the job. She decided she wanted to keep the job she had. I never even got to the part, where she was already being paid more than an apprentice meat cutter. And, yes I have seen women in this position, capable of doing all required tasks.
