Looking to buy a set of door panels in white for a 1966 Valiant 2-door post...where is a good place to buy or find them? Most places show a Barracuda panel and say it’s for Valiant but they are different...thanks!

What is the difference between Valiant and Barracuda. When I was in college a friend bought a 66 Barracuda. Shortly after he bought it someone went ripping through the parking lot with a VW and clipped the front end. He bought a Valiant parts car to get the fender, hood and door. His car had speaker holes cut in the door panels and the Valiant did not so we swapped those. We did not notice any difference then. Were they all different?

If you have your original panels and they are in reasonable shape, you might contact Legendary Interiors and see if they might want to use yours as a pattern for reproducing them. Then they could add them to their catalog. But, 1966 Valiant 2 door sedan parts may not be a big seller. It's worth a shot.

I've done this with other parts in the past and ended up with reproduced parts for free, or at a good discount.

I would think any ‘64, ‘65 or ‘66 two door panel will fit.
But to get the correct pattern I think you’ll need to find a used set from a ‘66 Valiant 100 two door.
Any panel could be painted the proper color.

SMS out of Oregon would be the place I would try. They will certainly have the fabric in NOS material, and can probably make them for you as well. They are the nations leading supplier of NOS material, even Legendary gets their material from them. If anybody can do it, it would be them.

Any luck with this? I also have a '66 Valiant and I can't find certain things anywhere.
