I have to say I love my '84 Chieftain. It just took the wife and I back and forth for a few days camping, just her and I for our anniversary... no kids, no dogs, no in-laws. 39,000 miles on her.. the 454 purrs like a (big) kitten :)

There's lots of us that daily something other that a Mopar. I love my 97 Chevy crew cab. Just over 200,000 and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a road trip at a moments notice.

Arg, just realized I said 'buy' instead of 'but' in the title.

Happy anniversary! That is a NICE motorhome. Not one of those 100 foot long things. I really like that. And yes, Chevy big blocks just kinda lumber along with enough torque to pull a house.......obviously.

Thank you! It's a Chieftain '22 foot. I can back it in places others won't try with those huge things.. find where I want to go, back it on to a 2x4 or two and I'm level, plug in, 5 mins to raise the awning, and I'm good. :)

Let's see the inside.

All works. The shower we kinda use for storage. The original 1984 Magic Chef Microwave is a pain.. no turntable, lol.

I bought this off Craigs 3 years ago. The couple I bought it from were the sweetest people you'd ever meet. They were the 2nd owner.. the first owner was their kid, who hauled a stock car with it. The ad they had on CL was 'all you need is a pack of hot dogs, and if you buy it I'll throw those in too!'.. and he wasn't kidding. Extra tents, sleeping bags, 220v extension cords, leveling jacks... everything, right down to 2 manual can openers. $3500 bucks.

No way! How do you sleep at night after that steal?
You, sir, are a lucky man!

Pots, pans, tow ropes, jumper cables, pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, toaster, coffee maker.... there was more than $3500 in stuff besides the camper itself. I did feel guilty a bit.. no haggling on this deal. They just wanted someone who would use it... and we have. :)

Nice rig.
I had many one ton chevy crew cab 454's before the Dodge and Cummins. They were great puling trucks, and great appetite also.
