Powermaster Alternator Mount

I upgraded my 73' Duster 340 with a 140 amp Powermaster One Wire Alternator with an internal regulator (Powermaster 8-37529: Upgrade Alternator Chrome Finish | JEGS). Unfortunately, due to it's depth size, it will not fit in the stock alternator location/bracket. It hits the valve covers. I came up with the pictured mount using two long bracket arms and a longer belt however it just does not feel as solid as it should. I was wondering if anyone has installed one of these on their SB and how you went about doing it? I have searched countless sites and bracket types and can not find one that will mount to the water pump and cylinder heads for this alternator. Thank you in advance!
