Against the law

Being a plumber for over 45 yrs, I aint paying anybody to do my plumbing, much as I hate doing it now.
The backhoe cost me a $1000 back then , which I thot was too high. He didn't dig it exactly like I told him to, should have made him do it over ! So far so good. Actually been so long , I cant remember when I did it , back around 1995-96 ??
Fingers crossed, got 4 1/2" of rain in about 2 hrs yesterday. I was in the garage working on my front end mod. , with the door open. You know I`ts raining hard when u see a 2 gal gas can go floating by headed for the rear door , had to get up and close the front overhead door, still didn't stop all of it.!!
We`ve had about 26" of rain in the last month and a half !!

Yea, around me you can call 811. Get cleared and then dig. Has to pitch to whatever your code is/ft. But I never heard of it being illegal to dig on your own land. It has to be inspected, but even so

Story of my life, lol. The wife and I get nervous when we happen to come into extra cash somehow... something is gonna happen to cost even more than we came into... happens every damn time.

Or it seams like if you make a major purchase something goes wrong and you have to buckle down

I just went through this I bought a house in Georgia a yr ago and the original home owner said he spent 10k having a new leach field put in. Well once we started getting heavy rains. I could not flush my toilets for hours after the storm. Water table gets to high and was filling the septic tank. So I dug out where the discharge pipe was and found that there was a space where black water was seeping out. When the water table gets high i believe water was seeping in and filling the tank. Hopefully, I fixed with the hydraulic cement. We will see. Good luck!!!!
