This is a very clean 1973 Plymouth Valiant Scamp, which has won several car shows in Wisconsin from '03 to '06 for best in class, Unrestored Original. This is a condition 2 classic car. All trophies included. It has 34,806 original miles, V8, 318 c.i.d. automatic. Two small areas of rust on the rear trunk corner where rear window attaches to trunk. This is visible in photos. No other rust seen on vehicle. The doors and lower portion appear to have been rust-proofed. Very motivated to sell. Car located in Davison, Michigan. Asking $7,900, well below the midpoint of range given by Hagerty valuation.

Jeff, I had a guy look at the car last week and said he thinks its a 904. Regarding the rear end I don't know what you are referring to. I'm not a mopar guy, I got this car on trade 6 years ago and know little about it. This website limits the number of photos to ten. Sorry this hasn't been very helpful. Paul

Typically 318 cars 904 trans-7-1/4" rear axle combo 2.76 Gear ratio pretty much the norm STOCK, 8-1/4 " rear axle maybe.

Please post a picture of the fender tag.
If you don't know already, it is located on the inner fender on the driver's side between the battery and the washer bottle and is rectangular in shape with numbers and letters on it.
While you are at it, take a picture of the rear differential from the back and the bottom of the transmission pan.
You can post more pictures on a reply to a post, up to 10 per post.
So, trying to add pictures to post #1 won't work, but on a reply it will.

According to your fender tag, the car came with a std. duty automatic transmission (904), and the picture of the rear differential cover is of a 7 1/4'' rear end.
If the car was originally equipped with a 727 tranny, the code on the fender tag would be D32, and 904 is D31 or D34.
If the car would have been optioned with a H.D. tow package, it would have come with a 727 trans. and an 8 1/4'' rear end.
Being a '73 V8 car, it would come standard with big bolt pattern disc brakes and a big bolt pattern 7 1/4'' rear.
That is a good thing.
Thanks for posting the pics, it can only help your sale of a very nice car.
