So I just swapped to a 87mm throttle body rendering my CAI that I so laboriously cut and mitered and welded by hand useless. It is on a 6.1 gen 3. My question is do any of you Hemi swap folks know of a good 87 mm CAI or am I back to welding a new one up? As many of the 87s they sell somebody has to make a CAI for it? Any clues?

You are wasting your time with a larger TB on a stock 6.1L engine. The stock TB already pulls way more than the engine uses and a larger TB does nothing but take your cash.

Injen cold air intakes are great, had one on my 06 SRT8. Could feel the difference, even before I changed tunes on the diablo for the cai one.
 
The 6.1 is not ending up stock in spite of my best intentions to do so. I had to purchase a new throttle body anyway as I also changed throttle control configuration. Figured might as well do the 87 so new cam can breathe! That's how I ended up needing the CAI.

Well then, the easiest thing to do and probably best for your application is to fabricate your own.
