Anyone had any dealings with "Toni" or "dragsterboy135" on ebay, from his shop "TG Motorsports LLC" from Miami, Florida?

I ordered a set of new solid lifters from him through eBay few months ago, but I was sent a box with used oily hydraulic lifters.

No reply at all, through eBay or direct email contact.
By the time the lifters got delivered here in Europe by bulkshipment in a container, I couldn't file a complaint anymore through eBay.

The guy himself didn't reply at all either when I contacted him friendly through email a few times.

The way his ebay item-descriptions were written at the time already raised some concern to me, but not enough to stop me buying the lifters from him.

Anyone with similar shady dealings with this piece of work?

72 negatives in 12 months. There's your sign right there. No way would I have bought from him. What kind of solid lifters were they supposed to be? Maybe a member in good standing will have some you can get a deal on.

Small block solid lifters.
At the time I didn’t much offered.

But I’ve already bought a new set so that’s good.
Compared to the positives he had on ebay I thought he should be alright. I know/knew better not to trust the ebay feedback system anymore that much.

If you purchased the parts off ebay, you had to pay the seller thru Pay Pal
Pay Pal has a 180 day, (6 months) window that you can open a claim, to dispute the transaction.
I cant believe that it took 6 months to get your container across the Atlantic, for you to start a claim.

Didn't know that.
I tried to go through the eBay-complaint system a few times with not much succes.
The 'Return Request' I was able to file drew a blank after 2 weeks too. Probably because the SoB never even responded to eBay either.

Bought the item late december.
Received the part late februari and tried contact through eBay. Then after a week of no reply, I contacted him through regular email. Again no reply.
Even gave him the benefit of the doubt were I could see at one point someone changed lifters in an engine and put the old ones back in the box.
Mistakes can happen to everyone. Just make them right. The sbag is probably incapable to make things 'right'.

Uhh yeah that's rough. Those were crummy lifters when new anyway. Hope the ones you ended up getting had the snap rings and not the wire retainers.

You the same guy that milled a 383 block too far before checking anything ? You might be in the wrong hobby !

Never decked a 383.
I've had a 440 block decked and line-honed for a 496" strokerbuild some years ago.
