No kick down lever?

I have a 73 duster with a 360 and a 727 with some aftermarket slapstick shifter.

When i got the car the kickdown lever was not connected to the carb and there for not in use but the car had not been driven for at least 3 years.
When I switched the intake and carb I removed the lever completely and forgot to install it again and left it 350km away from where I am now. I there is a car festival or whatever next weekend and I would really like to drive it there. Is it ok to drive the car without the kickdown lever for the duration of the weekend? Could it do any damage to the tranny?
The car would be driven several hundred km.
