You can often see shill bidding. In the posted list of bidders you can click on the moniker h***n of the winning (or any) bidder and their bid history will pop up. The defining statistic is "% of bids with this seller". If it's above 50-60% it's likely a scam. If it's 100% it is absolutely a shill. You can do this even after the sale ends as the info is still there for 30-60? days. I agree with others that Ebay is a funny marketplace. I have gotten decent deals on items I could not find elsewhere but often sellers are asking way to much due to inflated ideas of value. What is a seller thinking when they list an individual chrome lug nut for $12.95 plus $7.35 shipping when there are a half dozen other sellers selling sets of 20 of the same lug nut for $14 and free shipping. It makes me go huh?
