Here is an oil mod that is a must . This is what we found on several SB's. If you stud your heads you shut off the oil flow. We mill the studs and index them. This recreates a passage for the oil to the rockers that the stud closes off tighter then the bolts that are tapered for this purpose. Why use sprayers in the covers. They only cover the rocker with oil that seaps into the friction surface. Oiling them with pressure is much better. My son has several other things he does in the block and oil pump. That will cost ya. LOL

Never have I ever done that. You just groove the cam so they get full time oil.

Never have I had an issue with oil up top be use of studs. Even if you don't groove the cam.
