Hello everyone. For our anniversary this year, we will be going to Niagara Falls. We will be there Thursday and Friday and are open to ideas for things to do while there. And if anyone knows of a good car related thing, wether it’s a museum or a classic car dealer, that’s be great too! Thanks in advance!

Not exactly car related, but in nearby Buffalo NY is the Anchor Bar, legend has it that is where Buffalo Wings were invented.
It is also a pretty good restaurant. Extensive menu, while there, try the wings.

Take the boat Maid Of The Mist to get up and personable with the falls.

Canadian side or american side?

Canadian side has the behind the falls tour. (Tunnels behind the falls)

Maid of the mist boat ride up to the foot of the falls (I never done but heard it's amazing at night with fireworks)

Wine tour if your a winer

The whirlpool Rapids

Clifton hill has a bunch of activities from mini putt, 4d theatres, wax museum and the ferris wheel.

There are 2 casinos if your into some gambling.

History museum. (Never done but likely heavy on the battle of lundy lane. (1812)

Hershey factory (giant Hershey chocolate store)

Don't they also have those large speed boats that cruise up and down the river (large raft with powerful motors??).

We’ll likely be going to both sides.

Whirlpool jets. Did it with my kids, awesome! Went a couple years ago, LOTS of walking! Parking is difficult and pricey
Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours
Long lineups for stuff too.
Ferris wheel for at night is awesome.
Under the falls on Canuck side was great.
We watched fireworks from the tower, 8 cant remember the name.
Bring lots of $$$

Niagara is a always a sight.
To see it in a really special way, check it out in January.
No people, no traffic, the roar of the falling water fills the air. All the guard rails, light posts, everything the mist reaches is encased in ice, inches thick.
Really something to see.

Your last line is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Lol

Canadian side is the best. -- Check out The Restaurant at the top of The Skylon Tower.

Go to Canada to see falls.. much more to do.. don't forget passport or enhanced license to get over.. Wings on US side, the original Anchor Bar as someone said, or just about anywhere in the Buffalo area has good wings. I agree, Maid of the Mist is cool. Niagara on the Lake is a very nice area also. You may want to stay there.

Car museum in Buffalo, Home .. you can find cruise nights also June 2019-Pg 1 .. One of the best art galleries in the east, if your into that, and Fort Niagara is kind of cool. ALSO GOOD food here :welcome:

Have a safe trip, I've been within a few miles of the falls and never got to see them, I was always in the company van and they checked our milage.:(

Made a wrong turn,
Got lost,
Needed Gas,
Needed an aspirin,
Got a call from an old friend,
Interviewing for a new job,
Some of the reasons for a detour.

They have bus tours, it was the best money spent. Magnificent Tours, ask for Tony. On the Canadian side

The American side has a great park and you can walk up to the edge of the falls. I like the Cave of the Winds tour on the American side much better.

So, tour the parks on the American side, do the Cave of the Winds, and the Observation Tower and then cross over to the Canadian side. You can see the falls better and there is more to do that isn't falls related.

On the Canadian side, walk around to look at the falls, go through the Butterfly Conservatory and whatever tourist stuff you want.

Maid of the Mist can be done from either side. That's a must.

Niagara on the Lake is close, there are wineries (try the Ice Wine) and better places to eat and lots of small shops to take your money.
