Looking to do a supercharger on my 318 gonna be stroked and bored but I'm wondering how high it's gonna sit so I'm looking for some pictures and specs on any setups here, mine will be in a 1969 Dodge dart I will also be starting a thread on the build progression of my car here is before pics, I have the Motor and tranny pulled, I will also be selling a complete 904 tranny converter flex plate lines and kickdown linkages, and I'm looking for a 4 speed set up will also trade the auto for four speed as from what I've heard people like the autos better but I'm a standard guy in addition to the automatic transmission I have a auto steering column will probably keep it in the car unless be someone here wants to trade for a stick column, and a final question where is the best place to order a superstock K-member. My wife would kill me if I laid a car part on the coffee table. But between you and me that is a great conversation piece.

Oh trust me she not excited about it but that's where its gonna live untill the new short block is done!

I could check but I think its 18 inches from the China wall to the top of the carb plate. Then a 1 inch riser is needed for the linkage, then the height of your carbs plus what ever hat you want.

So it's not fitting under a stock hood. If that's was your asking.

Cost?
Oh man, just take all your spending cash and put it in a bucket. When it fills up, throw the bucket at your car and repeat.

I'd say 30+ grand should get you a trans, rearend and short block that can handle it.

It can be done for less but I have no idea what you have or can do.

So like this?

This is a small block 6-71 roots style supercharger.
Yes exactly like that, what brand is that? And thanks for the measurements, as for price of the project it's a moot point as I want what I want and I will work my *** into the dirt till I get it lol I would rather have a original Mopar tranny but if I can't find one I can get them from classic industries

For reference a B&M 144, 162 Blower Kit is around 8.5” from China wall to carb mounting flange. That might just fit under your hood with a drop base air cleaner....

Dyers, I bought their full kit.

4,250.00 with the belt gaurd.

I'm with ya. I've had the sickness for a while and finally bit the bullet and started the project.

I fully expect to be into this engine around 10 grand but I get parts at cost and dont have to pay for machine work.

Also my car is already built to handle the power. 12 point cage, tubular frame connectors, drive shaft hoop, narrowed 9", spool, 35 spline cromemolly axles mini tubs , and a fully built trans.

Sooo. Yeah if you gonna pay it's not cheep.

If you do it all your self, it's still not cheep but cheep and awesome aren't friends....

:)

Devon's and Damion's , rad swap time, It doesn't stick that far through the hood, sure it's not mopar but pictures for a reference anyway.

Folks can say that I payed to much but look around at used ones. Think about the cost of a rebuild, a new snout, pulleys and an intake.....

Then think about not dealing with any of that headache...

New is not a bad way to go at all. Beats the crap out of less than advertised parts not being what the seller said they were.

When I was in college, the transmission on my Barracuda went out (it was my daily driver). I purchased a transmission from Summit, it came in a massive box and literally WAS my coffee table for about a week....my wife thought it was funny for a day or two, lol.
