Mopars that are so ugly they hurt you eyes!

I offered my 69 GTX heads up trade. ($25k car. Non numbers matching, but period correct solid driver.) Never heard back from supposed owner.

Back in hi-school, my neighbor and friend had a 68 GTX 383 4-speed. It was almost as quick as my 70 Swinger340 4-speed. But IMO his was waaay better looking; it was a dark-chocolate brown to my PantherPink or whatever Dodge called it.
But one thing I'll give that 383; when he banged it into second or even third, POW!! that thing hit hard. Mine was still spinning those polyglass GTs, and the 3-4 was marshmallowy soft at around 85mph. 340s were fun but you had to keep 'em up on the cam.

In my opinion the 62 Dart or Savoy were brutal looking, a face only a mother could love. Ironically, only two years later, the 64 Plymouth and Dodge B bodies are some of the best looking cars ever.

Hang-on; what if you had never seen a shark-tooth grill?
I mean it is kindof Challerger-esque

it reminds me of the opel manta

but just between you and me, the sharkstooth grille is WAY overrated and doesnt fit the dusters lines, at all
(i heard a story, not sure how much if it was true, but the story said the demon tail lights were designed to go on the duster, in combination with the sharktooth grille. now, that would have looked good, but since the demon got the dart front end, the sharktooth grille never got matched up to the tail lights it needs to make it look like a complete package)

now, if you were to grab a 69 valiant grille, and matched that with the 70-72 duster tail lights, THAT would be great looking package

383 GTX ?

if they'd left that Caravan alone after the initial stretch, and left the correct front end on it.....

I don't think the Turbine front end is any worse than a '63 Dart, though that's not saying much. A Coronet/Super Bee isn't in the same league. But that home-grown "Tornado" custom is going to take some beating in the ugly department. I'd even say it retires the trophy...

These were ahead of there time and like all Mopars I love them too, but I always thought they were on the Fugly side.:)
